  • [es-pree de less-ka/-iay] (idiom) A witty remark that occurs to you too late, literally on the way down the stairs. The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations defines esprit de l'escalier as, "An untranslatable phrase, the meaning of which is that one only thinks on one's way downstairs of the smart retort one might have made in the drawing room."

Look at those eyes!!! My gosh, that look could make you do anything. I think Frank is beaming thoughts into our heads!

"You must come pack for Claire!!!"

"You must empty your wallet and buy me all of the cat toys at Petco!!"

Packing... gack. I don't envy you there.

I love Frank photos. He is sooo cute.

I hate packing on the other hand. Hate it!

Good luck with the packing!!!

AG, I posted this with you in mind!

Also, I hate packing so much. Oh the crap I need to go through. I'm hoping to have a big purge before this move. I need to get it started!

I am insanely good at packing. I only had 24-hours to pack for my last move and at the end of it, the head mover told me that he had "never encountered anyone as well packed as [me]."

Wish I could help you.

Also, that is a great picture of Frank. And that comment I made about cat photos? You know Frank is excluded, right? Because Frank is my little man... he's got character.

Just don't tell Slick.

Frank! What a honey! A real sweetie... roll on feline photos.

see you, grache

Claire, I'm so honored. Thanks!

Hope the packing is going well. Please, please, be sure to go somewhere you've never been in the city, this week. Maybe Superdawg or a place by the lake. I always do that when I move and I find it makes my memories extra sweeter.
